Official: Pedro Chirivella Completes Deadline Day Loan Move

The Spanish midfielder joins the list of Liverpool loanees on deadline day.

In the end, January was a month of one-way traffic out of Anfield as Pedro Chirivella joined the latest round exits, signing for Spanish club, Extremadura on loan. The 21-year-old joins the second-tier side until the end of the season.

The Spaniard had found it difficult to fully break into the Liverpool first team after arriving from Valencia in 2013 for £2m, with his last competitive appearance coming in May 2016.

With deadline day approaching, the likes of Swansea and Nottingham Forrest in the Championship division. Instead, Chirivella will be returning to his homeland in an attempt to revive his career prospects in a season that has seen him spend the majority of his time turning out for the Liverpool U23 side.

The midfielder joins a host of other outgoing players, including the likes of Matty Virtue, Lazar Markovic (finally) and Liam Millar.
