With such a short turn around near the end of a ridiculous stretch of games for both squads, this was never destined to be a wonderful game to watch between Liverpool and Wolves. Liverpool managed to eek out another 1-0 win despite the best efforts from Anthony Taylor. Joe Gomez was fantastic, so great to see him settling back into his imperious form from the start of last season. Sadio Mane had the goal, but he also put in a massive defensive shift, including shadowing Adama Traore when he came on the field. Virgil van Dijk did have a slip up, but also provided a fantastic pass to set up the goal, and came up huge at the end of the game. Jordan Henderson put in yet another huge shift as the midfield general.
