Liverpool decided to end a pretty successful (you know, as far as any reasonable measure of success goes) year with yet another victory: we’re now officially the FIFA Club World Cup Champions and we have a gorgeous new champions badge and some lovely silverware to prove it.

The game itself was a bit of an arduous event (and Liverpool won in the absolute final moments, because Liverpool have to Liverpool), but the promise of the badge and the title of World Champions was a huge draw for the team:

“When I speak about the tournament with family and friends, they all speak about the badge,” Georginio Wijnaldum said earlier in the year. ”That’s something you want; every time you look at the shirt it reminds you that you won the World Cup for teams.” Hopefully we’ll get to see the World Cup badge on full display in all Champions League games this season and the next.

You can watch the boys bringing home the World Up trophy (!!) from Doha here.
