It wasn’t always pretty, with Liverpool at times clearly labouring with a makeshift defence and midfield as the rolled out an unexpectedly weakened side in their first game at the 2019 Club World Cup, but in the end the Reds—thanks in large part to their big guns off the bench—pulled through and are headed to Saturday’s final against Flamengo.
Now let us know how you saw it. Was the impact of Trent Alexander-Arnold enough to push him to the top of the list, or was it one of the standouts who started the match—Mohamed Salah, Naby Keïta, and goalkeeper Alisson—who was man of the match? Vote for who you think should be the man of the match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by leaving the real man of the match off the list entirely.
And as always, anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP who wish to vote and can’t see the poll can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and re-entering the story.
