LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL
| Wednesday, October 30th |
League Cup | Anfield
7:30PM GMT/3:30PM EDT
Daylight Savings Is Dumb
Jurgen Klopp’s master plan of shit-canning the [insert sponsor here] League Cup by “accidentally” unearthing, dusting off, and subbing on Pedro Chirivella, backfired. Instead of getting eliminated from our lowest-priority competition, Liverpool ended up funding the prize pool for the next two years. A £200,000 fine for a competition that pays out £100,000 for winning it? You’re having a laugh, English Football League.
So all of that said, there’s a game this week. Against Arsenal. At home. So that’s mildly exciting, I guess. Klopp will have to get creative if he wants to look good while also getting eliminated before the quarterfinals—when he’ll have little choice but to actually take this tinpot competition half-seriously.
