One of the biggest doubts heading into the big derby match between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday has been United’s fitness. They’ve had several players on the trainer’s table this week, but it looks like they’re going to receive a boost as some of them appear to be fit for the match.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that David De Gea, Anthony Martial, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have all made the matchday squad as they report to their hotel. Martial has missed eight weeks of games with injury. De Gea, their star goalkeeper, subbed off with a leg injury during the week when he was on international duty with Spain. Wan-Bissaka had missed three matches with some sort of illness.
It does not appear that Paul Pogba has cleared his fitness tests, which is a boost for Liverpool.
This is United’s full squad:
David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Brandon Williams, James Garner, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, Daniel James, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood
