RB Salzburg came to Anfield and produced exactly what was advertised: a high-intensity gegenpressing shootout. After taking a first-half three-goal lead, the hosts subsequently slowed down, and some lax defending paired with a couple of excellent finishes saw the visitors level the scores, before the Egyptian king himself pounced on a Roberto Firmino flicked header to finish it off for the Reds.
