Watch: Jürgen Klopp’s Charity Match Team Talk

Klopp had a good time last weekend when he managed James Milner’s charity team side in Glasgow.

If you’re going to do something like take control of a charity football match with a team made up of retired footballers and celebrity figures, you might as well enjoy yourself. The official website recently posted a video of Jürgen Klopp’s team talk before the charity match on Saturday that raised money for cancer research, and it shows that Klopp was in top form.

His talk includes the suggestion that all football pundits would be required to play 120 minutes, but anyone else could play as long as they wanted, because according to Klopp, he “didn’t care.”

He also claimed to have confidence that they would win because he’d “seen the other team.” And if they didn’t, the plan was to blame it on Emile Heskey, who hadn’t arrived in time to hear Klopp’s inspirational musings.

The whole thing is pretty entertaining, and worth the watch. The real star of the video, though, is Dirk Kuyt laying on a table and getting his legs massaged as he laughed along with Klopp’s antics.

Meanwhile, it’s only four days until our international break purgatory is ended, and the Reds take on Tottenham. With any luck, we’ll see Klopp keep that good mood after the match ends.
