LIVERPOOL VS BORUSSIA DORTMUND
| Saturday, July 7th |
Pre-Season | Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, North Carolina)
9:00PM BST/4:00PM EST
Liverpool have made the long trek Stateside this year for their slew of international preseason matches, once again participating in the International Champions Cup tournament. Their first matchup is against frenemies Borussia Dortmund in sunny and hot North Carolina, and the first chance with our earliest returns from the World Cup. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Marko Grujic have all returned from their dalliances in Russia and abroad and while they may not start on Sunday, they’ll definitely get a bit of a run out in the second half. Look for always-and-never-gonna-happen Liverpool target Christian Pulisic to make an appearance for Dortmund, as well, because it’s not like his national team went anywhere this summer. Also look for Adam Lallana’s terrible new hair choices and the possible continued resurrection of Daniel Sturridge!
Despite all the hype around this tournament, it’s largely just a practice run for the rest of the season and to try and squeeze more money out of American fans, but hey Liverpool is almost back!
