WEST BROM VS LIVERPOOL
| Saturday, April 21st |
Premier League | Hawthorns
12:30PM GMT/7:30AM EST
It’s the calm before the storm, as manager Jürgen Klopp has to navigate a league match against bottom-dwellers West Brom while thinking ahead to the hugely important Champions League semi-final match against AS Roma on Tuesday. While it seems all but settled that Liverpool have cemented themselves a spot in the top four next season, that hasn’t been definitively decided yet. Every three points in a crucial step closer to achieving that goal. Another point of interest for this match will be Mohamed Salah’s continued attempt to beat the league record of 31 goals scored in a 38-game season. Will Klopp play him in this match when Salah must be desperate for the opportunity, or save him for the midweek battle ahead?
Meanwhile, the Baggies are facing almost certain relegation. If they lose, they’ll be the first team to head down. If they draw, their fate is up to Swansea, and if they win, they live to fight another day. So Liverpool shouldn’t expect an easy victory, something Manchester United found out the hard way last week.
