Six Liverpool Players on Shortlist for UEFA Team of the Year

Have your say in the voting for 2018.

It’s that time again! Winter arriving on one side of the world means that we can expect plenty of seasonal depression, ice-related injuries, and ‘best of’ lists to cap off 2018. With Liverpool making it to the UEFA Champions League final, it’s no surprise that plenty of our players have made the shortlist for UEFA.com’s pick for team of the year.

The players up for the award won’t be a surprise to anyone who’s followed Liverpool for more than a week or so either: the front trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mané are each in the running. Along with them are Virgil van Dijk, one of the best center-backs on the planet, Alisson Becker, who divided his 2018 between Liverpool and Roma, and James Milner, Liverpool’s indefatigable vice-captain who impressed in Europe during Liverpool’s Champions League run.

You can create your own team on the website. So if you don’t vote and somehow Sergio Ramos wins and Mohamed Salah doesn’t, you only have yourself to blame.
