Believe it or not, there are professional footballers who want to play for Liverpool. Good players. Players who win awards.

Weird, right? With all this business about He Who Is No Longer Named, some in the football world might have you believe that anyone with a lick of talent who’s somehow stuck wearing the Liver Bird on their chest is just chomping at the bit to get out. But nope! Not the case!

Because Mohamed Salah is good at football, and he loves being here, and we love him being here.

And he is indeed good at football. So good that he just keeps winning awards for being good at football.

He can now tack on another award to his already impressive list: PFA Player Of The Month for December 2017.

The PFA award recognizes players from the top four tiers in English football. The nominees for the December 2017 award included Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool WHOOPS SORRY IT’S BARCELONA NOW my bad), Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City), and Jordan Pickford (Everton).

Salah’s exceptional performances last month— in which he tallied six goals and four assists over eight Premier League appearances— was enough to beat out the other nominees, earning half of the public vote.

In conclusion, Mohamed Salah is good at football and loyal to the club and has a great smile. Thanks for reading.
