With four wins and a draw to start their 2017-18 season, Liverpool got off to a strong start in August, with the attack in particular worthy of note. Roberto Firmino has been in fine form, notching three goals and three assists already, while Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah have been flying on the wings and each have three of their own.

Meanwhile, after a shaky opener the midfield appears to be clicking despite the absence of a tricky creative sort in the absence of Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho, and even the defence has begun to look steady—though given Liverpool’s track record there, a few more games may be required for fans to start feeling comfortable.

Now, we want you to tell us who your choice for player of the month is. We’ve taken results from August’s five matches and given players five points for finishing first in man of the match voting through to one for finishing fifth and put together a list of finalists for August, but the final decision for the monthly honours is yours.

The favourite based on post-match voting has to be Sadio Mané, who earned 20 points after nabbing man of the match honours once and finishing in the top three in voting for every game in August—the only player to do so. Roberto Firmino comes next with 12 points, one man of the match award, and four appearances in the top five.

Mohamed Salah’s a bit of a tricky case, earning man of the match honours twice but finishing out of the top five in the other three games for 10 points overall. The list of finalists is rounded out by Emre Can and Trent Alexander-Arnold (6 points), and then Andy Robertson (5 points as man of the match against Crystal Palace).
