Liverpool come back to the warm confines of Anfield having already secured a great result on the road: a goal advantage and two crucial away goals is just about as good of a result as we could have hoped for against a side that had not lost at home for 15 months. Any win and Liverpool are through. Any draw, and Liverpool are through. A 1-0 loss, and Liverpool are through. After that, things get tricky. Let’s not think about that. Let’s think about the Champions League anthem blaring at Anfield again, and how it should have at least 3 more repetitions this season.
