It’s really not a Liverpool game without fans singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
Yesterday the Reds lined up against Hertha Berlin for a preseason friendly at the Olympiastadion. Liverpool looked strong and confident in their 3-0 win over their hosts; Dom Solanke and Gini Wijnaldum each scored in the first half to give the Reds a comfortable lead, and Mohamed Salah sealed the deal just after the hour mark.
As the seconds ticked down and all in attendance anxiously awaited the full time whistle, Liverpool fans did what supporters do at every game— at Anfield, around the Premier League, and abroad.
Like I said last week when I posted video of fans in Hong Kong singing the song: Liverpool fans in full voice ahead of kickoff is utterly captivating. And while it’s special when it’s at Anfield, some of that magic goes wherever crimson-clad fans sing about dreams being tossed and blown.
