Liverpool have finished their Asian tour, coming back to Europe with a shiny preseason trophy to boost morale. Now they’ve stopped in Germany to begin their final three games of the preseason. Liverpool and Hertha BSC will, funnily enough, both be celebrating their 125th anniversaries this year, so it should be a fun game.
Another reason this game will be fun is that it should mark the return of two much-missed players: Sadio Mané and Emre Can. Klopp confirmed that both players will be in the squad that takes on Hertha. It will be Mané’s first game back for the Reds since getting injured around four months ago. Fans will be eager to see last season’s break out star play with Liverpool’s new signing, Mohamed Salah. After his long injury set back, it will be good for Mané to get a few games in to work off the cobwebs before the season begins. Equally exciting is Emre Can’s return following his summer playing for Germany in the Confederations Cup. Danny Ings, on the other hand, is still not quite fit to make his triumphant comeback, but hopefully that will come soon.
