Liverpool concluded their preseason tour of the Far East yesterday with a friendly against Leicester City in Hong Kong. In their last game in the Premier League Asia Trophy competition, Liverpool found themselves trailing after just 11 minutes. But thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho, the Reds managed to secure a 2-1 win and end the trip to Asia on a positive note.
Friendly or not, no Liverpool game is complete without a stirring rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone. James Pearce tweeted out the video above, featuring more than 40,000 fans singing the Liverpool anthem.
Opinions on preseason tours vary widely. But whether it’s Australia or the Middle East or America our Southeast Asia, hearing fans who can’t just hop on Merseyrail to see their team be able to participate in the club’s signature ritual is simply heartwarming.
