Would you look at that? The season hasn’t even begun and we’re already fighting for our first trophy. Never mind that it’s the Premier League Asia Trophy, we’ll take what we can get. In all seriousness, the most important thing today is to continue building up match fitness. It is unclear whether manager Jürgen Klopp will give extended run-outs to many of the key players, or whether he will substitute all the outfield players at (or around) the half, as has been the trend so far in preseason. Liverpool punched their ticket to the final with a comfortable 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, courtesy of strikes from Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi. Leicester City, on the other hand, got through on penalties (7-6) against West Brom when the score was knotted at 1-1 after ninety minutes.

Sadio Mane continues rehab back in Melwood, and Kevin Stewart left to sign with Hull City, but other than that Liverpool should have all players available.
