Father’s Day is mostly over across the world, but there’s one little morsel of fatherly goodness to savor. It easy to forget, with the ages of our squad, that many of them are fathers and captain Jordan Henderson and midfielder Adam Lallana are no exception. With four kids between the both of them, one would expect them to be on top of the dad joke game.
Thankfully, the Mirror and England national team sponsors Vauxhall got them together and challenged them to deliver. The results did not disappoint, and their faces as they both struggle not to laugh at the greatness (or terribleness, you decide) of these jokes are probably the best part. Watch for them both to lose it when someone mentions “soaking wet” and Hendo being a good sport and covering up Adam’s cards when he folds over in laughter.
