Adam Lallana deserves a nice break.
He’s earned it, too. Eight goals and seven assists in the 2016-17 Premier League season, instrumental in Liverpool achieving a Top 4 finish. England’s Player of the Year for 2016. But more the point, Liverpool are simply a better team when he’s in it.
Lallana’s done some great work this season. And now he’s got his much-deserved rest.
The Premier League season is done and the post-season friendly in Sydney is in the rearview window. With the season over and obligations fulfilled, Liverpool players have been released from their duties. For most of the squad, this means linking up with their international squads— with a few days of R & R sprinkled in for good measure.
And with school being dismissed for the summer, Adam Lallana is ready to party.
I love Adam Lallana. He’s such a goober.
The midfielder will have about a week to catch his breath before heading to St. George’s to link up with the England squad. They have a World Cup Qualifier with Scotland on June 10th followed by a friendly with France on the 13th.
