Any Liverpool supporter could tell you that one of the best things about any match is watching manager Jürgen Klopp on the touchline and his every reaction to every major moment. From every leap and chest pound, to every avoided penalty, the manager provides just as much entertainment (sometimes more) than the players on the pitch. Not only that, they can be a clear indication of what he might be seeing that we as fans cannot.
The 228th Merseyside Derby on Saturday was sure to be full of every reaction imaginable but one supporter was able to capture the moment that Everton’s Ross Barkley very nearly ruined Dejan Lovren’s return to the starting XI. As bad as it looked for supporters watching from home, it clearly looked absolutely unacceptable to Klopp.

Anthony Taylor, to his credit (sort of?), attempted to rein himself in from handing out cards like candy and only booked Barkley for his first yellow after the tackle, but it was the third foul committed by the midfielder in the first half of the match. While no one will say the Merseyside Derby is ever without expected incident, Ross Barkley in particular seemed to go out already seeing red. He’s lucky all Anthony Taylor saw was yellow for him.
