Liverpool made the trip to the Etihad looking to secure three points, and in so doing leapfrog City in the table and put more distance between themselves and Manchester United. Jürgen Klopp has put together a solid record against top-six sides this season, while City, under Pep Guardiola, are looking to regroup after a disappointing exit from the Champions League yet again.
The match started off with the dial turned to eleven, and things didn't really let up from there, despite neither side really being on top of their game. The pouring rain and attendant slick conditions did little to help the quality of play, and contributed to a madcap first half that saw several penalty shouts but no goals. Liverpool opened the scoring in the second half through a James Milner penalty, but City slowly seized the momentum before equalizing through Sergio Aguero. That was how things finished.
Now let us know how you saw it. Hitting the thumbs up button is a vote to move the player up the list—or to help keep them on top. Hitting thumbs down is a vote to push that player closer to the bottom. It's half man of the match poll and half power ranking, and we want to use it to find out who you think played well after each Liverpool match and, at the other end, who you'd maybe like to see given the next game off.
