Liverpool have already successfully raided the physio room of German giants Bayern Munich since Jürgen Klopp’s arrival, by convincing head of fitness Andreas Kornmayer and head of nutrition Mona Nemmer to join him on Merseyside. Now, according to the latest rumors from Germany publication Bild, Klopp will look to make it a trifecta of Bayern fitness experts, by trying to persuade doctor Andreas Schlumberger to follow suit.

If it comes to fruition, the move would reunite Klopp and Schlumberger. The doctor worked under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, but left the club for Bayern in 2015 when Klopp stepped down.

However, according to the same report Schlumberger has stated his intention to stay in Bavaria until the end of his contract in 2019. The move would presumably replace current team doctor Andrew Massey, who was promoted in 2014 first on an interim basis, and then permanently a year thereafter.

It might not be as exciting as a player transfer, but it’s nice to know that Kloppo is looking to strengthen throughout the club.
