Video: Roberto Firmino Gets Stick From Everton Fans On The Train

The Liverpool striker ran into some Blues fans while taking public transport home at the weekend.

Arsenal v Liverpool - Premier League

Roberto Firmino had just spared Jürgen Klopp’s blushes, scoring the equalizing goal in the 3-3 draw away to Arsenal at the weekend and keeping Liverpool’s 13-game unbeaten streak alive. His side had initially been two goals to the good and running rampant before a 388 second spell of madness saw the Gunners erase the deficit in stunning fashion and go ahead 3-2.

Showing great nerve to avoid crumbling beneath the roar of a rapturous Emirates Stadium, the ex-Hoffenheim striker received the ball just inside the box, swiveled in a crowd of red shirts and over-powered a valiant Petr Cech right hand to secure a point for the Reds.

Despite the goal capping what was a masterful individual performance, the Brazilian now faced the issue of making his way back to Merseyside from London. While this may appear to be a small matter for a millionaire footballer with the requisite collection of supercars, one may recall that the Liverpool star is still serving out the last few weeks of a year-long driving ban for drink driving he received earlier in the calendar year.

Deprived of what would be the preferred mode of transportation, an option Firmino has taken at times has been to rub shoulders with the common man on the train. However, on this occasion, the point-winning hero ran into several Everton fans also making their way home from a drab 0-0 across town away to Chelsea.

Check out the video below to watch the moment the Blues perk up from their 9th place perch to confront the striker who, as of this reading, has alone scored only 10 fewer goals than the entire Everton squad has in the league this season.
