Brighton 1, Liverpool 5: Man of the Match

With a solid 5-1 win over Brighton in the books, we want you to rate Liverpool's players and choose your man of the match

This felt like kind of a weird game. Liverpool seemed to struggle at times, and then suddenly they weren’t. I was wringing my hands at 75’ while up 3-1, and 10 minutes later we were up 5-1. On paper this never looked close. But it felt close at times. Still, a win is a win, and this will pad out our goal difference quite nicely.

We’re going with Roberto Firmino for our MOTM. Bobby Firm broke a minor scoring drought to bag a brace and set Liverpool up well for their deserved win.

Now let us know how you saw it. Hitting the thumbs up button is a vote to move the player up the list—or to help keep them on top. Hitting thumbs down is a vote to push that player closer to the bottom. It's half man of the match poll and half power ranking, and we want to use it to find out who you think played well after each Liverpool match and, at the other end, who you'd maybe like to see given the next game off.

At the end of the month we'll go through the results of the month's polls and vote The Liverpool Offside’s player of the month and, come next May, those monthly results will help to determine your TLO player of the season for 2016-17. Those visiting on Google AMP who wish to vote will have to navigate to the front page and re-enter the story to access the non-AMP version of it.
