Ahead of the upcoming clash when Liverpool travel to Bournemouth, former Red Jordon Ibe had some kind words to say about Klopp. The young winger left Anfield in the summer of 2016 when he realized that there was no longer a place for him in Klopp’s side.

Despite their parting ways, there seems to be no hard feelings, and Ibe was respectful and complimentary when talking about the Liverpool boss.

"He’s a really good manager, one to one. He gives players confidence, he makes you feel very important. Whether you’re a player coming on from the bench or whether you’re a starter. Everyone feels the same. So I give him credit for that,” Ibe said.

"Jürgen is a bit more aggressive [than Eddie Howe], not in a bad way. He gets more excited! You can see how he is on the sideline as if he’s the 12th player on the pitch.

“He helped me a lot on the defensive side of things. I wasn’t the best at tracking back. It’s like that with a lot of wingers. It’s a lot more work off the ball, but I feel as if I’ve done better from the defensive aspect of things.”

Ibe is still struggling to make an impact with his new club after moving there for a club-record fee. However, at only 22-years-old, there’s still plenty of time for him to find his feet.

Ibe is what my mother would call a ‘good egg’ and someone that I certainly hope does well going forward. Just, you know, not against us.
