What better way to ring in a Friday than with Gini Wijnaldum’s smile? Liverpool FC’s official site is in full agreement and has launched the first video in a series where they follow footballers home with cameras. Gini, as is his wont, makes the whole concept seem a lot less tired than it is and entertains us with the charm we’ve grown to love from the Dutch national.
The video starts off about as awkward as you would expect (it’s so awkward that David Vujanic, the host, points out how awkward it is), but Gini eases into talking about his Primark socks, his and Mané’s songs, and what makes him as friendly as he is.
And if the promise of socks (and tea! There’s tea!) isn’t enough to draw you in, Gini and Vujanic also recite Big Shaq’s Man's Not Hot.
