Do or die tonight, as Liverpool host Southampton in the second leg of the EFL Sponsorless Cup. The Reds will need to overcome a one goal deficit after being bossed for the majority of the the 90 minutes down at St. Mary’s. Away goals are a factor, but only if the two sides are all-square after extra time. Otherwise it’s penalties, which seem to be all but certain tonight. Hopefully Liverpool can use the home crowd to pull themselves out of this dip in form they’ve had to start 2017. Or, failing that, at least find a way to squeak past this midtable side, so they can go on and beat another midtable side in the final.
