Liverpool can’t book themselves a ticket to Wembley tonight, but they can get a foot in the door with a good performance. Last night saw arch-rivals Manchester United secure a first leg 2-0 home win, which should be more than enough to see off Hull. Away goals also count in this two-legged affair, but only after extra time is played in the second game. So yeah, maybe go out and score some goals and see where that gets you? Either way, Liverpool will have the home field advantage in the second leg. It would be pretty unfair if they didn’t. Should be a good one.
