Welcome to the third round of the League Cup! Now without a name! Liverpool advanced in a 5-0 walk over Burton Albion, while Derby County struggled past League Two’s Carlisle United, eventually emerging victorious after winning the penalty shoot-out 14-13. Given Klopp’s take-no-prisoners attitude to cup competitions, it seems like a good bet that Liverpool will run out a strong side once again. To those who can watch (I’m looking at you, Australia and the five people signed up to beIN Sports Connect) it should be good fun. And for the rest of us, there’s the magic of radio.
