In 2014, the masterminds in charge of making the first teamers do silly stuff for our entertainment came up with the idea to pit two players together in a hip hop quiz. Those two players were Daniel Sturridge and Jordon Ibe, with the former taking home the title and the latter getting sent to Bournemouth two years later.
Now, Daniel Sturridge’s reign as LFC Hip Hop Mastermind - their title, not ours - has gone unchecked long enough. He now has new challengers, in the likes of Joe Gomez (who is taking some time away from rehabilitation for this) and Nathaniel Clyne (who didn’t appear to have any rival strikers in his pockets during the filming of this).
While the video is a bit long at 22 minutes, it’s a good 22 minutes of twists and turns and less cringy bits than when the team tried to do rap songs for the US Tour. Thankfully that video has disappeared, but this one is stuck right here to be enjoyed. My favorite bit is when Joe Gomez guesses someone is a rapper that... well, just watch.
