The season couldn’t have gotten off to a much better start for Liverpool. Okay, so maybe some injury issues popped up and have us worrying, but as far as results go, beating Arsenal away from home to open the season doesn’t get much sweeter.
Not only did they win against a very good team, but they were so much fun to watch. Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane both scored great goals. However, it was the third goal of the day that really caught everyone’s eye. Not because of an individual piece of magic like the other two, but for the fantastic teamwork involved in the build-up.

In total, 19 passes were strung together by the Liverpool squad with nine players participating. It all ended with Nathaniel Clyne finding an on-rushing Coutinho with a perfect low cross.
It was a thing of pure beauty and excellence in execution. Hopefully it’s just the beginning of the amazing goals we’re going to see this season.
