I wanted to take a moment to let our fine readers and community members know that I'll be stepping down as Noel's co-manager and as a writer for TLO. It's a choice that I didn't make lightly or without consideration, but after three-and-a-half years here I've decided it's time to move on. I won't be a stranger of course, as I'll always be a community member here because I genuinely think this is the best Liverpool site on the internet.
TLO has grown a lot since I was first brought on by Ed and Noel, and I've been very proud and privileged to be able to work with the team that we've assembled over the years. We have a thoughtful, creative, kind, funny, and (most importantly!) incredibly knowledgeable bunch of folks working tirelessly every day to provide content and shape the community that we've all come to enjoy. We've worked behind the scenes to bring on a few new voices to help carry the load, and you'll be meeting them over the next week or so. I have no doubt they'll be absolutely fantastic in their new roles and that you'll welcome them to the TLO family as readily as you welcomed me.
I'd also like to thank the community here for being a wonderful, delightful bunch. We've had occasional rough moments -- if I ever have to moderate another discussion on Luis Suarez, it will be too soon! -- but the space you've helped create and maintain is one that is wholly unique on the internet, and you should all be really proud of that. I've come to consider many of you good friends over the years, and have been lucky enough to even meet some of you in person. It's something I value and cherish and won't forget.
I'll still be around TLO, of course, and I'll be on Twitter at @killsmedead. My last post here will be on Sunday evening when I post my final Week in Comments, so now's the time to break out the really good jokes, friends. :)
