Liverpool 1, Augsburg 0: Man of the Match

Liverpool held a clear edge in the run of play throughout and got a soft penalty call in their favour in the first half to go ahead early. They then proceeded to spurn multiple chances for a second that would have made things more comfortable but in the end—and despite a few nervy moments—that one goal was enough to see them through to the Round of 16.
