It’s Merseyside Derby Eve eve, officially, and excitement is building. It hasn’t been until recently that a derby has been met with more excitement than tempered dread. Even with Liverpool’s current injury roster, the win mid-week against Middlesbrough proved to gift just enough confidence to hopefully carry us through the away side of the event. Things are feeling pretty good this side of Stanley Park.

To further illustrate this, Lucas Leiva, Divock Origi, and Adam Lallana sat down with Liverpool legend Gary McAllister to talk about their derby moments and what the historical tie means to them, and the club. Most recently, of course, was the 4-0 win last season including the Origi strike and Lucas’ almost strike, but the trio also talk about their personal histories with Everton and what they’ve learned about the match from former players.

Spend a couple minutes with the lads and revel in derby moments past - but also please laugh at Lucas’ long hair from his debut.
