Liverpool come back from the last international break of 2016 in the top spot but with serious questions about player fitness. In particular, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho, both incredibly important parts of Jürgen Klopp’s preferred set up, are doubts for the match. Thankfully, there’s enough talent on the bench that there will still be options as they travel to Southampton to face Claude Puel’s side, who currently sit tenth. Liverpool will be hoping to jump back right where they left off, in blistering form and scoring goals for fun. This game is also the unofficial beginning of the winter season, as the players gear up for a long, cold grind and a thick fixture list from now until January.
