Exeter City 2, Liverpool 2: Man of the Match

A side filled with youth—the likes of Brad Smith and Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo—showed promise at times in difficult conditions, but the more veteran starters failed to impress and in the end a replay is a fair result for tonight’s match. Given their League Two opposition, it’s a bit of a shock. Given Liverpool’s injury situation and enforced team selection, it’s somewhat less so.
