Liverpool 3, Exeter City 0: Man of the Match

It wasn’t the most thrilling night in the club’s history, but a Liverpool side made up largely of youth players put in a solid shift to see off Exeter City at the second time of asking. Youngster Brad Smith again stood out, while veteran Joe Allen proved a smart addition to the lineup and two more youngsters, Sheyi Ojo and Joao Carlos Teixeira, put the game away late.
