Liverpool 3, Aston Villa 2: Man of the Match

In what was a do or die game for Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool managed to take all three points against an Aston Villa team that came to play and was not going to give up after going behind in the first minute of the game thanks to a James Milner goal. A brace by Daniel Sturridge ensured that the hosts were never chasing the game, and the Reds held on to their lead long enough to secure the win.
