Sturridge! Sakho! Moreno! Coutinho's suspension is over! Look at those bench options! Going to be hard to find something to gripe about with this team, but we'll do our best: shouldn't Studge be brought along slowly considering his re-injury history, and is it really necessary to use three central defenders to blunt the threat of one Cameron Jerome?
-
Coutinho's hair is really coming into its own. Still miss the shags, but there's a lot to like there. Also, two penalty shouts in the first half, both clear dives from Milner & Studge
-
We've seen better passing from a piece of cantaloupe than what Simon Mignolet puts on film consistently. Also, Sakho and Moreno are players in form.
-
Profligacy you flighty temptress! Pretty much all of the danger men guilty for Liverpool. Even Clyne got into the act with a pop, but clearly Liverpool really miss Glen Johnson. We kid, we kid.
-
One half gone and Liverpool look comfy with numbers at the back, in the middle, and in attack. All that's left is translating that to numbers on the scoresheet. Our halftime talk revolves around a BLT with some applewood smoked thick cut, white truffle infused farmhouse cheddar, and peppy tomatoes on a vine.
-
Liverpool forced to take off a striker due to a non contact muscle injury, and its... not Daniel Sturridge! Result! Benteke with a hammy, but at least we'll get to see Roberto Firmino paired with Sturridge. What's that? It's Ings? Ok, Danny Ings...
-
OK DANNY INGS!!! NEVER DOUBTED YOU FOR A SECOND, LAD!!!
-
Here's a sight for sore eyes: Studge on the shoulder of the backline, coiled like a snake in that gap between two defenders, begging for the through ball. What's more, it looks like Ings has been paying attention to that movement in training, because he mimics it quite nicely.
-
Dame Judy Dench fans herself on a hot summer day with more vigor than Waffles demonstrated on that Norwich equalizer.
-
Sturridge's reintroduction went well, Lallana probably deserves his run, and Bobby Firmino on for Lucas is Rodgers going for the win. Good.
-
Russell Martin playing like prime John Terry with frickin laser beams attached to his head. Also, da fuq, Phil?
-
Dominant profligacy? Dominant profligacy.
