Liverpool Got Fleeced in Sterling Sale to Manchester City According to CIES
Conor Dowley: Of course, CIES never really properly explain their methodology and are widely regarded as full of crap. So it’s probably not worth freaking out too much over what they say. Seriously, a lot of their numbers look like the results of a dartboard toss than any actual analysis.
Noel: Dejan Lovren, aka the best defender in England, vigorously disagrees with your assertion.
LiverRed: Not that he can defend his position.

Manchester United 3, Liverpool 1: The Walking Dead
i would really, really love to see season one Brendan Rodgers with this squad. Not sure how well the personnel would fit, but fucks sake at least there was something identifiable in terms of approach and plan. This has just been one long, slow, decline into hoping some cool shit happens that will win a match in spite of a bunch of goofy ass decisions.
I also do not want to see any more of season four Brendan Rodgers. Not sure what the solution is, but let’s look at moving on maybe.

Lucas Leiva Still Loves Liverpool After “Intense” Summer
I really feel like there would be no upside to him leaving. He loves the club, his wages aren’t huge, he is a positive influence on young and new players, wouldn’t command a big fee and fills a role no one else can. So why we would be even think about it?

David de Gea Expected to Start Against Liverpool on Saturday
Coulda sworn United owed us one after we played Jones against them last year. Chivalry is indeed dead.

Manchester United 3, Liverpool 1: The Walking Dead
The worst thing about this is how absolutely pedestrian ManU were, and we still lost 3-1. That was a classic 8th place BPL squad capitulating mentally when they realized a result was out of reach. I say mentally, because physically, we weren’t there from kickoff.
