Liverpool’s pre-season tour a thing of the past and the players are back at Melwood training for the new season. Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, and Christian Benteke have all joined the action this week—and all will be strong contenders to start in two weeks against Stoke City—but we want to know who impressed Liverpool fans most over those first four pre-season matches.

Jordon Ibe looked dangerous at times against both Adelaide United and Malaysia, scoring the goal of pre-season as he cut inside in the final match and unleashed a rocket shot to the near corner with his weaker foot. Adam Lallana, too, impressed, scoring a few early and showing quick feet throughout as he linked up well with Joe Gomez on the left. Gomez, too, stood out as a pleasant surprise.

And what of Danny Ings? The striker arrived with a fair few doubts and question marks but for many stood out when given the chance—though perhaps he should have scored a few more. Meanwhile, James Milner and Jordan Henderson were both solid in the middle of the pitch and have to be in the top half of any list of the club’s pre-season performers so far this summer.

On the flip side, though, there are those who maybe failed to take their chance. Dejan Lovren struggled, at fault for Malaysia’s goal and suffering a few other moments of panic, and many Liverpool fans will be perplexed if he’s anywhere near the starting eleven against Stoke. Joe Allen, despite his glorious beard, looked second best amongst midfield options. The same could be said for Divock Origi in attack. Minus the beard stuff.

We want to know how you see it, though. Which of Liverpool’s regulars—either the expected first team players or those given a chance to shine—impressed you most during the pre-season tour? And who impressed you least? Click the thumbs up to move a player up the list and the down to send them crashing towards the bottom, and as always, let us know your thinking in the comments.
