Adriano Correia is quite the utility player. The sort of footballer who rarely indicates whether he's right or left footed. He's happy to cut in for a crack, or sprint at the by-line for a well timed cross, and he does it from either side. His time with the Blaugrana, like his time in Sevilla before that, has found him popping up at nearly every position on the pitch not occupied by Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, or a goalkeeper.
That sort of high level versatility is worth whatever modest fee Barcelona would command at this point. And if Liverpool are indeed looking at cover for Alberto Moreno, it'd be hard to argue against this as an ace signing.
Cue the Liverpool Echo having picked up a rumor that LFC would be happy to outbid a reported offerta eterna from Roma for the player. That's the good news. The unfortunate news is that not only does there not seem to be any verifiable Liverpool ties to this rumor, Inter Milan are starting to get thrown around as a destination, as well.
The quotes themselves actually indicate a move to Italy as a priority,
"[Roma’s offer] is very tempting and he thinks it’s time for a change. It’s time to face new challenges and take advantage of the offer of a big Italian team."
For those keeping score at home, that's one mention of Roma, one mention of Italy, zero mentions of Liverpool.
Still though - right foot, left foot, pace, experience, dribbling, shooting, positional flexibility, and of course the potential for Liverpool to actually sign a Barcelona player at some point prior to us all receiving our first pension checks. It's the little things.
