Not sure how many saw what Damien Comolli said about our transfer business, but here is a snippet.
It is too much [to overhaul the squad] in two off-seasons. When you gamble as much money as they did last summer, you have got to give players a chance, and changing everything again sends the message to the players brought in last summer that they will not get a chance.
By the time everyone settles into the team, and the players coming from abroad get used to the Premier League, they might be well behind fourth place.
Do you agree? I happen to think that he makes some good points in saying that we are changing our squad a lot - and perhaps too much. We made a lot of changes last year and quite a few of them bit us in the ass, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen again. Just interested to hear what folks think - does Comolli have a point or is this just him having a dig?
He embarrassed himself at Spurs and at Liverpool as well, so he's not exactly one to be talking about a massive amount of players coming in for one club, but still. Thoughts?
