Official: Liverpool Release 2015-16 Away Kit

Liverpool have released their away kit for the coming season, completing a solidly straightforward collection for 2015-16 with an agreeable white number.

After a few years with Warrior, Liverpool have switched to New Balance as their kit supplier for the coming season. The club’s home kit everybody has already seen, along with a black third strip that was unfortunate to be introduced against Stoke City in the final match of last season and didn’t deserve a 6-1 hammering.

Now, the away kit has been revealed, and taken together it makes for perhaps the strongest trio of shirts seen in a long time. It’s a fairly straightforward white offering with red trim, and while it doesn’t quite reach the heights of 10-11’s pinstripe number, aside from that it’s probably the most appealing white kit they’ve been given this century.

Some might suggest New Balance have erred on the side of too simple for their first set of kits, but they’ll have time to bring in the more adventurous buyer over the next few seasons and it seems a wise move to try and make all three of this year’s offerings ones with universal appeal—or at least that won’t put anyone off.

There are some interesting details to the kit, too, ones that will probably show up better in real life than they do in product shots. The big one for most will probably be the the white on white, almost chalk stripe-style pattern down the front of the shirts that helps to make it more than just a plain white sport t-shirt.

A teal goalkeeper kit was also revealed, and all the usual kit options are now available for purchase at the club’s online store for anybody who was holding off buying until all three were available.
