Less than two months on from the season-ending farce at the Britannia Stadium, Liverpool are back in action once again as they start their preseason in Thailand. The weeks that have passed since the 6-1 loss to Stoke City have moved quickly, with plenty of action off the pitch--most of it good--to keep supporters busy and try to help wash away the sour taste left by a dismal finish to the 2014-2015 campaign.
There should be plenty of new faces taking part tomorrow, with the likes of James Milner, Danny Ings, Divock Origi, Adam Bogdan, and Nathaniel Clyne included in the traveling squad to go along with a promising youth contingent. As is typically the case this early in the summer, there won't be much to read into the squad selections or performances, but it'll at least be nice to see Liverpool playing a somewhat competitive fixture.
They'll be facing the same side that they did two years ago in Bangkok, with a selected XI from the Thai Premier League providing the opposition in a match that's likely to be played in fairly difficult conditions. As always, the hope will be that all involved emerge healthy on both sides, and that ahead of their trip to Australia, Brendan Rodgers' squad continue to develop further cohesion with less than a month to go before they kick things off for real.
