Since at least one team above the table at any given time is content to string Liverpool's unlikely top four challenge along, it's at least worth acknowledging that a win here--against a Newcastle side in terrible form since the turn of the year--would draw them within four points of Manchester City. But whatever ends up happening in the table come season's end, Liverpool need to finish well, and three points here are vital whether or not they continue an outside shot at Champions League qualification.
