After Liverpool Football Club unveiled new superstar manager signing, Jürgen Klopp, to a ravenous and euphoric public, Tom Werner has opened up about his longtime admiration for the German.
"We have thought about him for a long time and everyone who knows football knows he is an outstanding manager," he said.
"Obviously, he motivates players and when we spoke to him we saw there was a great connection between his vision and what we want to do moving forward.
"It is very attractive football, attacking football. He has said that he doesn’t want to put too much expectation on the near future but we all expect the players are going to respond to him."
Not exactly life changing views. He's right, Klopp is well-respected within the football community, so it's no surprise that he has long been on FSG's radar. It's possible that he was considered as an option to replace Kenny Dalglish in 2012, but he would have been happy at Dortmund at that time.
All Liverpool fans are hoping that Werner's predictions are right and the players do respond to Klopp's emotional and bombastic style of coaching. With half the team away for the international break and the other half seemingly keeping mum about the new appointment for the moment out of respect for Brendan Rodgers, we don't have much of an idea how they feel about it.
The supporters are thrilled, though, and the pundits, including plenty of ex-Liverpool players, seem behind him. As for FSG, they must be grateful that they finally got their man.
