Despite that the third round of the FA Cup isn't over yet, Liverpool already know they will host Bolton if they make it past AFC Wimbledon tonight. The draw was carried live ahead of the match between the two sides at Kingsmeadow stadium, and assuming the Reds are victorious, it's a reasonably kind drawing for them.
Opponents Bolton have fallen on hard times in recent years, dropping to the Championship after a sustained spell in the Premier League. In fact, they are currently the club with the most years spent in England's top flight that are outside of that top flight, and they have faced off against Liverpool on 123 occasions over the two clubs' histories.
All told, Liverpool hold a solid head-to-head advantage, with 54 wins, 38 losses, and 30 draws. More interesting for Liverpool fans, though, will be that former Red Jay Spearing is captain of Neil Lennon's side, and he can expect a warm response from the Kop when he lines up for the visitors later this month—if Liverpool win tonight.
The match is scheduled to be played on either the 24th or 25th of this month.
