Champions League Open Thread: Taste the Disappointment Edition

The return legs aren't as exciting as they might have been, but the first two sides will advance to the Champions League quarter finals today and it's not like you've got anything better to do.

Mike Hewitt

Were back to keeping an eye on Champions League action this week, and today Bayern host Arsenal after winning the first leg by two goals—a lead that seems insurmountable as the Gunners have to score at least three times to have a chance. It means that for the neutral, the more interesting match has to be Atletico Madrid hosting AC Milan. Atletico won the first leg by a goal to nil, giving the Spanish title challengers a valuable away goal lead, but that's still far less of an advantage than Bayern has over Arsenal in the day's other match. While the clocks for most of our North American readers jumped ahead over the weekend, daylight saving time doesn't go into effect in Europe until March 30th, and kickoff for both matches is at 7:45PM GMT/3:45PM EST.

Come and join us in keeping an eye on the day's going ons while we daydream about Liverpool making it back into Europe's premier club competition next season. As always, LiveSoccerTV has listings of live television offerings around the globe, and you can always find the open threads in the sections drop down menu at the top of every page on the site when they disappear from the front page.
